About the role
This multi-faceted role relies on organization and problem-solving skills to provide acquisition support, including data analysis, doctrine/policy translation, business process analysis, and Army customer product procurement assistance. The SME supports Digital Market Action Officers and Division Chiefs with hardware and software contract actions, performs specialized tasks such as Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) product analysis, advises internal and external stakeholders, conducts training, and recommends policy adjustments or creation. The role also involves resolving product or service problems by clarifying customer issues, determining causes, and selecting solutions.

Responsibilities
- Resolve customer inquiries for Digital Market contracts.
- Research policies and mandates applicable to Digital Market products and services.
- Provide acquisition support and process license requests for software contracts.
- Deliver a weekly summary of actions to Digital Market Leadership.
- Conduct periodic vendor and Army Stakeholder meetings.
- Compile and analyze contract actions and inquiry data in various reports.
- Complete specialized project assignments without lapse in contract support or customer inquiry coverage.
- Research and construct documents and reports for IT products and policies as related to the Digital Market mission.
- Jointly establish and prioritize new initiatives, milestones, and tasks and track their progress.
- Interpret Army, DoD, and Federal rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance.
- 8-12 years of experience in an administrative, communication, or customer service environment.
- 3-5 years of experience in an acquisition-specific role.
- Experience within the Federal Acquisition Environment, including knowledge of government acquisition and governing policies.
- Experience working with Armed Services components.
- MBA or MS degree preferred (6 years of experience may substitute for a Master’s degree).
- Ability to organize and maintain large amounts of data and information.
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills with Digital Market partners, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Experience presenting data analysis to large audiences.
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office and ability to quickly learn new programs.
Qualifications
- DAWIA training and/or certification(s).
- Knowledge of agile concepts and methodologies.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic communications.
- Ability to read and interpret information on computer screens and printed documents.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, or move about the office.
- May occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull office materials and equipment weighing up to 5–15 pounds.
- Ability to travel between office locations or attend meetings as required.
