About the role
The United States Space Force (USSF) Headquarters (HQ) Communications, Information Technology, and Cyber Operations (CTIO) at the Pentagon is searching for an Acquisition Program Manager (NH-1101-04, GS 14/15 equivalent).
Responsibilities
- Translate senior leadership's strategic goals into executable programs and policies that directly enable the warfighter.
- Direct highly complex projects with long-term impact, lead and integrate the efforts of multiple teams, and mentor the next generation of acquisition talent.
- Formulate organizational strategies, resolve mission-critical problems with senior management, and brief strategic vision.
- Optimize resources and foster a cooperative, high-performing environment.
- Lead and manage acquisition programs of significant complexity, cost, and schedule risk.
- Provide strategic direction to resolve mission-critical problems in collaboration with senior management and customers.
- Encourage new ideas and innovations, manage human, financial, and information resources strategically, and build coalitions to achieve common goals.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
- This is a drug testing designated position.
- The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
- Must within 30-days of assuming this position and annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, “Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.”
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework.”
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 45 days per year.
- PSC is authorized.
- Incentive is not authorized.
