Acquisition Program Manager
About the role
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking a Full-Time Acquisition Program Manager-NH-1101-03 to join the team at HQ STARCOM, Patrick Space Force Base, Melbourne, Florida. The selected candidate will serve as a Program Manager, overseeing or supporting pre-award and post-award activities for assigned portfolios and programs.
Responsibilities
- Guide a multi-functional team of military, civilian, and contractor personnel to ensure mission success for programs operating across multiple global locations.
- Lead and support multi-agency efforts to resolve unprecedented technical and sustainment challenges.
- Develop and implement innovative acquisition strategies, policies, and program goals to reduce cycle time while meeting cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of program goals to drive long-range planning and represent the organization at executive levels to advocate for objectives and resolve critical issues.
- Partner with contracting officers to manage and approve budgets, contracting plans, and modifications to the scope of work.
- Communicate with clarity, conciseness, and technical accuracy to diverse stakeholders at all levels, both orally and in writing.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
- Ability to meet DAWIA requirements applicable to the duties of the position
- Occasional travel away from the normal duty station
- Meet Continuing Acquisition Education requirements
- Subject to random drug testing for drug use
- Sign a non-disclosure statement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree desired from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Program Management, or related field
- Knowledge of DoD services acquisition, life cycle management, risk management, quality assurance control, and cost/price analysis policies, procedures, and practices

Pay
Salary Range: $76,463 - $118,204, does not include locality pay.
