Acquisition Manager, Senior

About the Role
This role supports Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition processes, program analysis, and integration efforts across multiple locations, including Dayton, Ohio; Warner Robins, Georgia; and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The position is hybrid (in-office and remote) and requires the ability to qualify for a Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate understanding of DoD acquisition processes and apply analytical methods to gather, evaluate, and improve acquisition effectiveness and compliance.
- Support key acquisition events and reviews, such as System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), and others.
- Apply contracting policies and processes to analyze requirements and assist in developing solutions for pre-award and post-award situations.
- Assist with establishing and maintaining databases, developing program metrics, and integrating risk management plans and strategies.
- Support program briefings, determine program progress, and communicate recommendations to higher management.
- Perform analyses to support program strategy decisions and evaluate implications of existing or proposed projects, programs, and policies.
- Support the development, review, and approval of requirements documents and the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process.
- Translate user requirements documents (e.g., Capability Development Document, Capability Production Document, Concept of Operations) into Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation.
- Assist in capability-based planning, material solution analyses, and program integration efforts.
- Provide support for program cost, schedule, and performance, including Data Item Descriptions (DIDs), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and data calls.
- Support the development and sustainment of program requirements documents, acquisition strategies, integrated schedules, and risk management plans.
- Develop and collect technical data for staff summary packages and coordinate integrated program reviews and conferences.
- Participate in system developer or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technical and programmatic reviews, identifying risks and developing mitigation plans.
- Assist with program execution, tracking appropriation and allocation of funds, and ensuring alignment with program goals.
- Develop, analyze, report, and maintain schedules and metrics using tools like Microsoft Project and Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
- Coordinate with external mission partners, including headquarters, major commands, test agencies, and other DoD personnel.
- Support Director’s Action Group (DAG) and Program Execution Group (PEG) processes, including Execution Reviews, Monthly Acquisition Reports (MAR), and Defense Acquisition Executive Summaries (DAES).
- Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and process improvement working groups, providing advisory support for program source selections.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- One of the following combinations of education/experience:
- MA/MS degree and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, five (5) of which must be in the DoD.
- BA/BS degree and fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, five (5) of which must be in the DoD.
- HSD/GED and twenty (20) years of directly related experience, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD.

The salary range represents a good faith estimate. COLSA considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including location, role, function, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements.
