About the role
As an Account Executive at Acquia, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by managing and expanding relationships with our existing customer base. You will work closely with customers to understand their business needs and align Acquia’s solutions to help them achieve their digital experience goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for technology and customer success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth within assigned accounts.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships at the executive level.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and customer success, to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
- Conduct regular business reviews with customers to assess their needs and ensure they are achieving value from Acquia’s solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and Acquia’s product roadmap to effectively position our solutions.
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Leverage CRM tools to track and report on account activity and forecast revenue.
Requirements
- Proven track record of success in a quota-carrying sales role, preferably in SaaS or enterprise software.
- Experience managing and growing revenue within an existing customer base.
- Strong ability to build relationships and engage with C-level executives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and a passion for technology.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales forecasting tools.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or sales, with a focus on enterprise accounts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in the digital experience, CMS, or MarTech space is a plus.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
