Responsibilities
- Perform sound modeling, noise impact assessments, and acoustic studies across a range of project types and industries
- Conduct field noise measurements and operate sound level meters and related equipment
- Interpret and assess compliance with federal, state, and local sound regulations
- Prepare clear, well structured technical reports, analyses, and client presentations
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies, clients, and internal project teams
- Aid in business development efforts
- Support and assist with task management, scheduling, and project coordination
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in sound modeling, acoustics, or environmental noise analysis
- An engineering degree preferred (or equivalent technical background)
- Proficiency with industry standard noise modeling software (e.g., SoundPLAN, CadnaA, )
- Experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS or QGIS) is a plus
- A strong understanding of environmental noise regulations and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with acoustic requirements of Federal, state, local agencies
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Experience working with agencies and clients in a consulting environment
- The ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
