Acoustician/Acoustic Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform sound modeling, noise impact assessments, and acoustic studies across a range of project types and industries
• Conduct field noise measurements and operate sound level meters and related equipment
• Interpret and assess compliance with federal, state, and local sound regulations
• Prepare clear, well structured technical reports, analyses, and client presentations
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies, clients, and internal project teams
• Aid in business development efforts
• Support and assist with task management, scheduling, and project coordination

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in sound modeling, acoustics, or environmental noise analysis
• An engineering degree preferred (or equivalent technical background)
• Proficiency with industry standard noise modeling software (e.g., SoundPLAN, CadnaA, )
• Experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS or QGIS) is a plus
• A strong understanding of environmental noise regulations and compliance requirements
• Familiarity with acoustic requirements of Federal, state, local agencies
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills
• Experience working with agencies and clients in a consulting environment
• The ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
