ACMS Spanish Teacher

About the role

The ACMS Spanish Teacher will be responsible for teaching Spanish to students in grades PreK-12.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish language and culture to students in accordance with state standards.
• Develop lesson plans and materials that align with curriculum goals.
• Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods into the classroom.
• Mentor and support students' social and academic growth.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide a comprehensive educational experience.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• A valid Virginia teaching license with a Spanish endorsement.
• Experience teaching Spanish at the K-12 level preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse educational setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Spanish or related field preferred.
• Doctorate in Spanish or related field preferred.

Skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Knowledge of current Spanish language teaching methodologies.
• Experience with integrating technology into the Spanish classroom.

Pay

The salary range for this position is From/To $52,626 - $76,394, with placement on the 2026-2027 teacher salary scale commensurate with experience. Additional supplements are available based on education level.
