ACMS English Teacher

About the role

The English teacher will be responsible for instructing students in the core subject of English.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in reading, writing, literature, and language arts
• Develop lesson plans and assessments aligned with state standards
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum and instruction
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Assist students with individualized learning plans

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with appropriate endorsement in English
• 10-month position (200 days)

Qualifications

Experience teaching English at the secondary level is preferred but not required. Candidates must have a strong understanding of educational theory and practice, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay

The starting salary range is from $52,626 to $76,394, with placement on the 2026-2027 teacher salary scale commensurate with experience. Additional supplements are available for Master’s and Doctorate degrees.

This is a 10-month position (200 days).
