Student Responsibilities
- Enroll in the Diesel Technology program at NDSCS
- Attend all of your classes and labs
- Maintain a GPA of at least a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale at all times while enrolled in the program
- Complete your internships with Acme Tools and maintain satisfactory attendance and performance
- Submit to a background check and drug screening
- Remain employed with Acme Tools after graduation for at least 3 consecutive full years

Day as a Service Technician - Large Equipment (Diesel Mechanic)
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and gas and diesel engines
- Ensure proper functionality of equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
- Communicate effectively with customers, the Service Supervisor, and the parts department
- Order and receive parts in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of parts ordered and equipment repair hours
- Work on skid steers, mowers, and Kubota tractors
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for the majority of your shift
- Ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach

The Acme Tools for Tomorrow program provides a blend of classroom and lab education at NDSCS with paid internships at Acme Equipment in Grand Forks, ND. Graduates earn an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Diesel Technology and are offered full-time positions with Acme Tools.
