ACE - Assistant Conductor

About the role

Resolve minor customer disputes / complaints on board the train with calm professionalism, including fare enforcement. Assist the Conductor in submission of various reports to record movement delays, unusual occurrences, passenger inconveniences, and mechanical defects. Ensure effective and timely communication of relevant issues to passengers using both in person and public address system announcements.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all related safety rules and procedures and report all hazards as required.
• Attend and participate in all assigned training.
• Assist the conductor and the engineer in the inspection and basic troubleshooting of mechanical systems of rail equipment.
• Avoid minor customer disputes / complaints on board the train with calm professionalism, including fare enforcement.
• Submit to and pass periodic medical examinations as well as random drug and alcohol screenings.
• Must pass yearly operational rules exams.
• Must be able to pass a conductor promotion exam.
• Satisfactory attendance and safe work record.
• Must understand and comply with Keolis's Uniform & Grooming Standards when engaged in performing passenger service.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior work experience exhibiting responsibility, initiative, and other leadership characteristics.
• Customer Service Experience Preferred.
