ACCS Sign Language Interpreter (20 Hours) - North County Integrated Team C

The Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) department focuses on helping individuals diagnosed with mental illness or dual diagnosis achieve independence through skill-building and goal achievement.

Responsibilities

• Provide ASL interpretation in person and virtually during staff trainings, meetings, and team meetings.
• Interpret for small group gatherings between individuals served and staff, as well as clinical assessments between individuals served and clinical staff.
• Travel to individual's homes or community locations for interpretation.
• Work collaboratively with external interpreters for assignments requiring additional support.
• Provide education to trainers and meeting leaders on creating a deaf-friendly environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, required.
• Current National Interpreter Certification (NIC) from the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, with 2 years of ASL interpreting experience, required.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record, required.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.

Schedule
