Accounts Receivable Specialist

About The Opportunity

CFS is partnering with a well-established nonprofit organization seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys balancing transactional accounting, customer service, reconciliations, and collections support.

Responsibilities

• Process and post daily cash receipts, customer payments, and accounts receivable transactions while maintaining accurate records
• Reconcile daily banking activity, deposits, and cash applications to ensure accounting accuracy
• Manage receivable accounts, payment posting, collections support, and account maintenance
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and customer account concerns
• Prepare statements, invoices, reports, and supporting documentation for accounting and finance leadership
• Aid with month-end reconciliations, account balancing, and financial record maintenance
• Collaborate with internal departments to support payment tracking, receivable activity, and ongoing accounting operations

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts receivable, billing, cash application, or general accounting experience in a professional office environment
• Strong reconciliation, problem-solving, and customer service skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with ERP systems, donor databases, Salesforce, or Sage Intacct is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 based on experience
