Accounts Receivable Analyst

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and issue accurate customer invoices and credit memos
• Maintain accounts receivable aging and proactively follow up on past-due balances
• Apply customer payments and credits; research and resolve unapplied or misapplied cash
• Investigate and resolve customer account discrepancies, including short-pays, pricing issues, and disputes
• Perform customer account reconciliations and support month-end AR close activities
• Generate and analyze AR metrics such as aging, DSO, and at-risk accounts, and share insights with management
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, and Accounting to improve billing accuracy and reduce recurring issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2–4 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or a related accounting role
• Strong understanding of AR processes, including invoicing, cash application, and reconciliations
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, SUMIFS)
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills

Qualifications

• Nice to have: Experience in a shared services or multi-entity environment
• Experience with AR automation, cash application, or collections tools
• Experience with reporting or dashboard tools such as Power BI or Tableau
