Essential Functions
- Aids auditors in providing supporting documentation and information for internal processes during audits.
- Supports staff, school site personnel, and external parties by answering questions and ensuring compliance with financial procedures.
- Compiles and reviews financial information related to accounts payable to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Communicates with various internal and external parties to gather and disseminate information necessary for processing accounts payable transactions.
- Maintains financial records and ensures their accessibility for reference and compliance with established policies and regulations.
- Attends unit meetings, participates in training sessions, and collaborates with colleagues to share and gather information.
- Prepares and files reports and financial information in accordance with established practices and regulatory requirements.
- Processes payments to vendors to maintain accurate account balances and ensure efficient operations.
- Reconciles financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting practices.
- Investigates discrepancies in financial information and takes corrective action as needed.
- Responds to inquiries from various sources to provide necessary information and assist in resolving issues.
- Reviews documents and requests to identify discrepancies and take appropriate action.

Job Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications: Relevant job-related education and experience within a specialized field.
- Skills: Proficiency in using standard office equipment, performing accounting procedures, and managing projects.
- Knowledge: Understanding of accounting principles, governmental accounting practices, and relevant codes, policies, regulations, and laws.
- Abilities: Scheduling activities, working with diverse groups, analyzing data, and utilizing a variety of job-related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Works under limited supervision using standardized practices and methods.
- Directs other persons within a department, large work unit, and/or across several small work units.
- Maintains budget expenditures through resource utilization from other work units.
Work Environment
- Physical Demands: Some lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; significant fine finger dexterity.
- Work Conditions: Generally clean and healthy environment; 80% sitting, 10% walking, 10% standing.
