Accounts Payable Clerk (Full-Time)

Responsibilities

  • Receive and review invoices, check requests, and related documentation for completeness and compliance with policies, procedures, and contractual requirements
  • Code, verify, and enter accounts payable data into the accounting system
  • Reconcile subsidiary vendor ledgers with accounts payable totals and general ledger
  • Prepare and enter month-end general ledger entries
  • Cook up and execute weekly check run setup
  • Coordinate with departments and vendors to resolve account statement discrepancies
  • Create and enter daily deposits and perform bank deposits
  • Review submitted expense reports for discrepancies
  • Maintain Accounts Payable tracker on a monthly basis

Requirements

Experience: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.

Education/Knowledge: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; Understanding of accounting principles.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in automated accounting systems, preferably Deltek Vantagepoint
  • Proficiency in interpreting vendor invoices and statements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Qualifications

Experience: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.

Education/Knowledge: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; Understanding of accounting principles.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $50,000.00 to $55,000.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on work location, qualifications, experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
