About the role

The team at West Star Aviation is seeking a self-motivated Accounts Payable Clerk to support their Corporate Accounting department. This role involves managing high-volume invoice processing and ensuring accurate financial documentation with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and distribute incoming accounting correspondence.
  • Upload and verify documents using Cloud Capture Software.
  • Assign invoices to appropriate purchasing personnel.
  • Match payable invoices against purchase orders in ERP.
  • Enter financial information into Great Plains Accounting software.
  • Code and accrue sales tax on invoices properly.
  • Provide backup support for processing Certify expense reports.
  • Order and organize departmental office supplies.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

  • A highschool diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
  • Accounts payable experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products with Intermediate Excel skills.
  • ERP experience preferred.
  • Office data entry experience of 2+ years.
