Position Overview

The Accounts Payable Associate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, disbursements, and financial adjustments. They will perform detailed research to verify the accuracy and integrity of all accounts payable transactions, communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and clarify invoice details, and enforce internal controls related to disbursement processes while recommending process improvements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Key invoices into financial systems, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring data accuracy.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of general arithmetic and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of data processing systems and computerized accounts payable functions.
  • Thorough understanding of accounts payable procedures, controls, and best practices.
  • General knowledge of 1099 documentation and compliance requirements.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (Windows-based).
