Accounting Technician, Outsourced Finance & Accounting

About the role

The Accounting Technician, Outsourced Finance & Accounting is responsible for supporting accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. This role performs payroll activities across the end-to-end pay cycle, and helps ensure payroll data integrity, strong controls, and a positive client experience.

Responsibilities

• Collects, compiles, and enters payroll data using appropriate software
• Updates payroll records by entering changes including deductions, garnishments, and salary increases
• Processes payroll by established deadlines
• Interacts with client staff to gain information, documents and data necessary to complete assigned tasks
• Communicates significant client issues to supervisor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (required)
• 2+ years of customer service experience (required)
• 1-3 years of payroll experience (preferred)
• Experience working with tip reporting, multi-state payrolls, IRS letter responses, and garnishment calculations (preferred)
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word (required)
