Accounting Specialist
Position Summary
The role is essentially that of a full-charge bookkeeper. We intentionally use the Accounting Specialist title because it better reflects the level of service we provide to our members.
About the role
We're looking for candidates who can hit the ground running with minimal training. Ideally, they will have 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, preferably in a CPA firm, accounting firm, or tax firm, where they've managed multiple clients and entities simultaneously. I'm not looking for someone who has done bookkeeping as just one part of another role—I need someone with strong, practical bookkeeping experience.
Responsibilities
- Experience With QuickBooks OnlineAI Tools
- Payroll processing
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Preparing monthly financial statements
- Managing multiple entities and multiple client books simultaneously

- Self-starter, takes initiative, follows established procedures
- Works well within a team, communicates professionally with members
- Bright, positive attitude and new ideas
- Comfortable learning and utilizing AI tools
Requirements
- Minimal training required
- Confidently jump in, understand the books, process payroll, communicate with members, and prepare accurate monthly financial reports

Schedule
Full-time, in-office position in McKinney, TX, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch. We are looking for candidates who already live within a reasonable commuting distance of our McKinney office. We do not offer remote or hybrid work for this position, nor do we reimburse commuting expenses.
