About the role
A well-established nonprofit organization in Sarasota is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Process and enter invoices for approval
- Auxiliary with grant-related data entry and invoice tracking
- Code and enter corporate credit card expenses
- Prepare daily deposits, including remote deposits and check processing
- Answer phones, greet visitors, and manage front desk activities
- Prepare conference rooms for meetings and events
- Order office supplies and maintain common office areas
- Cook up incoming and outgoing mail
- Cook up special projects, community events, and volunteer coordination
- Serve as a resource for staff, visitors, and vendors
Qualifications
- Previous administrative, office support, customer service, or accounting support experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and stay focused despite interruptions
- Comfortable working in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Positive attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Blackbaud or non-profit is a plus, but not required
