About the role
The Accounting Representative interacts directly with ODW Logistics vendors, customers, executives, and account managers regarding payment for services. They also assist the Accounting Manager in maintaining daily and monthly processing requirements for assigned business units, including accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Ensures all vendor invoices are coded to the correct GL accounts.
- Processes accounts payable for corporate business units.
- Processes vendor payments.
- Ensures that all vendor inquiries are handled efficiently and to the vendor's satisfaction.
- Reconciles vendor statements on a recurring basis.
- Processes payroll for assigned entities.
- Applies cash receipts for assigned companies.
- Prepares and distributes daily cash reports.
- Assists with accounts receivable collections.
- Completes filing in a timely, effective manner.
- Communicates with executive team and account managers through phone, email, and verbal communication.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent (Required).
- 1–3 years in a similar accounting field.
- 1–5 years with listed accountabilities.
- Proficient with Windows-based general ledger systems.
- Warehouse Management System experience (Preferred).
- Microsoft Office Applications, data entry, and internet experience.
