Accounting Representative

Accounting Representative Job Summary Performs a variety of clerical accounting tasks in support of the accounting function. Job Duties Handle accounts payable duties and/or accounts receivableUtilize computer systems to run databasesCompile and sort invoices, packing slips, and POsReview and batch high-volume vendor invoices into the ERP system ensuring correct accountsIdentify and resolve price, quantity, and freight discrepancies through collaborationVendor credit management and account reconciliationAssist month-end close including basic journal entries, GL account reconciliations, etc.Manage electronic filing system Complete all necessary documents fully and accuratelyMaintain internal and customs compliance controlsAdhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assigned Experience and Education Perform work under minimal supervisionHandle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff Basic to intermediate excel skillsPossess comprehensive knowledge of subject matter 2 to 5 years of experience Competencies/ Skills Ability to interpret work instructions Ability to follow written and verbal directionsBasic verbal and written communication skillsLeadership skillsOrganizational skillsDetail orientedClerical skillsAbility to meet deadlines
