Accounting Operations & Systems Manager

For our client, we are seeking a Accounting Operations & Systems Manager to join the team of a leader in the Legal & Accounting space. This role will drive the design, execution, and continuous improvement of accounting systems and process initiatives that support growth across the organization. You will partner closely with finance and engineering stakeholders to strengthen controls, improve automation, and build scalable workflows that support audit readiness and operational efficiency. The position is well suited for someone who enjoys turning complex accounting requirements into practical, system-enabled solutions in a fast-paced environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $140,000 – $160,000 annually Responsibilities Own the development and execution of accounting systems and process projects Drive global expansion of accounting functions during company growth Design and formalize accounting workflows and controls Collaborate with finance and engineering teams to implement new tools Lead automation initiatives within accounting and finance operations Establish audit readiness infrastructure Identify and remedy bottlenecks in accounting processes Qualifications 5-10 years in accounting operations or finance systems BS in Accounting required; CPA preferred Experience in PMO or PMP certification Knowledge of multi-entity and multi-currency configurations Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite or Sage Intacct Deep understanding of GAAP for effective system design Proven ability to create processes in fast-paced environments Benefits Well-funded start-up culture Interactive and supportive work environment Equity grant offered In-office culture Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
