Accounting Operations Intern 2027- REMOTE

About the role

CNO Financial Group is hiring an Accounting Operations Intern to work alongside our Accounting Operations associates with professional day-to-day work within the department. This is a paid internship at competitive rates, with paid days off for Memorial Day and the 4th of July.

Candidates must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; the company does not intend to sponsor work visas for this position or future full-time employment opportunities.

The 2027 internship program will run May 17 through August 06, 2027, and requires availability to work 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks during the summer.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate documentation of key processes supporting quarterly reporting and analysis.
• Assist with daily accounting operation tasks.
• Complete special projects.
• Assist with month-end and quarterly close.

Requirements

• Progress towards a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline.
• Status as a rising junior or rising senior, with approximate graduation dates of December 2027–June 2029.
• Experience with one or more of the following: Co-Pilot, Co-Pilot Studio, Power BI, Alteryx, Power Automate, VBA, Denodo, and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Candidate location in Central or Eastern US time zone is preferred, or willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours.

• Prior internship experience.
• Experience balancing education and a part-time job during the school year.

Schedule

This position may work fully remote from any US-based location, provided the candidate is able to work Central or Eastern Time hours. All work must be performed within the United States, and occasional travel to corporate offices may be required. Associates living within 60 miles of a corporate office (Carmel, IN or Chicago, IL) have access to work from that location as needed.
