About the role
This is a highly visible leadership role within a large, complex Shared Services organization. The Accounting Manager will lead an established team while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing Order-to-Cash / Accounts Receivable team
- Oversee enterprise invoicing, cash application, customer account support, credits, and related accounting activities
- Manage month-end responsibilities including journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance analysis
- Monitor operational performance, KPIs, internal controls, and customer service metrics
- Partner with business leaders to resolve complex customer and operational issues
- Drive automation, process improvements, and Shared Services transformation initiatives
- Coach and develop team members while fostering a collaborative, customer-focused culture
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive accounting, Shared Services, or financial operations experience
- Prior leadership experience within Accounting, Shared Services, or Order-to-Cash environments
- Strong accounting foundation including GAAP, journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience leading process improvements within a complex, high-volume environment
- Servant leadership style with a passion for coaching and developing people
