Accounting Manager - Projects

About the role

The Accounting Manager will coordinate with the Controller to manage all project-based accounting and provide dedicated support to a Principal Project Manager for a key corporate client.

Responsibilities

• Manage project-based accounting and revenue recognition using the percentage-of-completion method
• Provide financial reporting and analysis for projects
• Collaborate with the Controller to ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
• Support the Principal Project Manager with project accounting and organizational tasks
• Use Deltek Vantagepoint ERP database for accounting processes
• Utilize Concur software for expense management

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and billing
• Strong understanding of project-based accounting and the percentage-of-completion method
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint ERP database
• Familiarity with GAAP and Concur software
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA certification preferred

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Benefits

Hybrid work schedule with two days in the office and three days remote.

Pay

$70,000 - $80,000 annually
