Accounting Manager (Manufacturing)

Atlantic Group is hiring an Accounting Manager (Manufacturing) for a client in Chester County, PA. Position type: Perm (Contingency). The role leads month-end close, financial reporting, cost accounting, and process improvement within a growing manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include overseeing core accounting activities, supporting internal and external audits, providing financial analysis, leading a team, and strengthening accounting systems, processes, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Oversee internal and external financial reporting while ensuring accurate and timely financial results.
• Manage standard costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and related manufacturing accounting activities.
• Support internal and external audits while strengthening accounting controls, documentation, and reporting processes.
• Drive improvements across accounting systems, close procedures, reporting, automation, and financial workflows.
• Manage and develop accounting professionals while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting, month-end close, and related corporate accounting functions.
• Manufacturing accounting experience with knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, cost accounting, and variance analysis required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP system proficiency required; experience supporting financial reporting, systems implementations, automation, or process improvement preferred.

Pay

Salary range: $100,000–$130,000 per year + bonus.

Monday to Friday (Hybrid).
