As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our leadership team and play a critical role in building the financial foundation needed to support continued growth. This position will report directly to the CEO and will have ownership over accounting operations, financial reporting, cash management, internal controls, and process improvements. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, improving processes, and partnering with leadership to drive business decisions.

Key responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Provide comprehensive financial updates and insights to the CEO and senior leadership by analyzing key business metrics, trends, and performance indicators
- Evaluate financial data to support operational decisions and long-term company strategy
- Develop and maintain financial reporting packages, dashboards, and performance analyses
- Partner with leadership to develop short- and long-term financial plans
Accounting Operations & Controls
- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and financial reporting
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting
- Maintain internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency
- Establish and improve accounting procedures, workflows, and best practices as the company scales
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory guidelines
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Establish financial and operational benchmarks to measure company performance
- Analyze budget-to-actual results and recommend corrective actions when needed
- Support strategic initiatives through financial modeling and analysis
Treasury & Cash Management
- Manage daily cash activities, including cash forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity planning
- Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations to optimize working capital
- Oversee banking processes and ensure appropriate controls are in place
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to accounting team members
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Help build scalable accounting infrastructure to support future growth
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate and manage external audits and reporting requirements
- Support tax preparation and compliance activities
- Stay informed on accounting regulations and industry best practices
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience managing accounting operations in a growing organization
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, treasury functions, and cash management
- Proven experience improving accounting processes and implementing controls
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide business insights
- Experience managing month-end close and multi-entity accounting processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner directly with executive leadership
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- CPA or other professional accounting certification preferred
- Prior experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, or supply chain industries
- Experience working in a privately held, entrepreneurial, or high-growth environment
- Experience leading or mentoring accounting staff
- Experience with accounting system implementations or process automation
Pay
$110,000 - $120,000 per year
