Accounting Manager, Corporate Reporting

Key job responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for monthly Chart of Account review and approvals managing Amazon's Corporate Allocations impacting external reporting (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) and internal management reporting.
- Afford assistance with quarterly SEC deliverable preparation and review.
- Significant collaboration with internal stakeholders within and outside of the accounting organization, including Finance, Tax and Statutory Accounting teams.
- Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities, and drive impactful global projects.
- Financial reporting research and position paper writing are required.
About the team
The Corporate Reporting - Close Management team leads the worldwide accounting month-end and quarter-end close process by establishing close calendars and coordinating with Accounting, Tax teams to ensure books are closed on time for external (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) and internal management reporting. In addition to owning Amazon’s Chart of Accounts and corresponding policy, as well as Amazon's Corporate Allocations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- CPA (Preferred)
- Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency
- Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification
- Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients
- Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
