Accounting Manager

Applicants must be based in Denver or willing to relocate to Denver to work from the Denver office a minimum of three days a week. Responsibilities

• Manages the planning and direction of departmental activities related to general accounting functions and preparation of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances, and other financial results.
• Specifically responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of the ledger accounts and financial statements in compliance with Company and GAAP standards.
• Formulates and directs the administration of approved accounting practices.
• Oversee the efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and programs supporting the Finance organization.
• May participate in accounting projects.
• Responsible for managing people; hiring, performance reviews and compensation decisions.
• Perform all duties inherent in a managerial role.
• Overseeing Opex and Capex accounting related to IT processes.
• Overseeing Prepaid accounting.
• Managing Blackline account reconciliation access and assignments.
• Month end Balance sheet review reporting.
• Partnering with various corporate and business departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ financial accounting experience required.
• 2-5 years leadership experience required.
• CPA preferred.

Schedule

HYBRID - Western Union values in-person collaboration, problem solving, and ideation whenever possible. The expectation is to work from the office a minimum of three days a week.

Pay

The base salary range is $125,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD per year. Total on-target compensation includes a base salary plus annual incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
