Responsibilities
- Lead month-end financial close, including providing month end closing deliverables, reviewing and approving account reconciliations, and controlling activities.
- Document standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with corporate financial policies.
- Support accounting and forecasting needs by working closely with internal departments/stakeholders such as Sales, Merchandising, and Operations.
- Ensure contract maintenance, interpretation, and contract reviews are timely.
- Achieve accurate reporting and timely resolution of customer and supplier rebates.
- Drive continuous process improvements through an in-depth understanding of team responsibilities.
- Implement, maintain, and enhance SOX controls and best practices.
- Manage a team to include staffing, training, coaching, performance management, problem resolution, etc.
- Develop career paths and foster a culture of ownership, learning, and high performance for accounting staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting/finance experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP, particularly revenue recognition
- Strong communication, independent problem solving, and analytical skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with large, complex data sets
Pay
$105,000 - $120,000 base salary + 30% annual incentive potential
