Accounting Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead a VACO clients accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Cook up and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiencies.
• Aid with tax filings and regulatory reporting requirements.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and at least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting management. CPA certification is preferred.

• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
