About the role

Your next accounting role shouldn't be just about closing the books. We're looking for an experienced accounting professional who wants to take their career beyond traditional accounting and step into a role that combines technical expertise, client relationships, leadership, and advisory work. As an Accounting Manager, you'll serve as a senior accounting leader at a growing family office for a portfolio of complex clients. You'll review and elevate the work of other accountants, work directly with clients and their advisors, solve complex accounting issues, and help clients understand the financial information behind their decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted accounting advisor to high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, foundations, and closely held businesses
  • Review financial statements and accounting work prepared by other accountants
  • Identify issues, troubleshoot complex transactions, and provide technical guidance
  • Work with clients to understand cash flow, spending, funding needs, and entity performance
  • Manage accounting across multiple entities, LLCs, partnerships, and intercompany relationships
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Financial Accountants and other team members
  • Partner with CPAs, wealth advisors, trust officers, tax professionals, and other client advisors
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, workflows, and operational efficiency
  • Support department initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting, financial administration, family office, trust, or private client experience.
  • Strong general ledger and financial statement experience.
  • Knowledge of AP, AR, reconciliations, payroll, cash management, and tax-related reporting.
  • Experience reviewing work, mentoring employees, or coordinating team workflows.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and client-service skills.
  • CPA or other relevant professional certification preferred.

Benefits

You'll have the opportunity to work with complex financial situations and sophisticated clients while building relationships that go well beyond traditional accounting. You'll also join a fast-growing family office with a strong pipeline of new clients, continued growth, and a collaborative culture where your experience and ideas can make a meaningful impact. If you're an accountant who wants to be more than the person who prepares the numbers—and instead become the person who understands them, explains them, reviews them, and helps clients make decisions with them—we'd love to hear from you.
