Accounting Manager

About The Role

The Accounting Manager owns the integrity of the general ledger, driving the monthly close process, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and maintaining robust internal controls under SOX 404. This role leads the corporate accounting function, partnering with FP&A and operational leaders to translate complex transactions into precise financial reporting. The team operates in a fast-paced environment where scalable systems and rigorous financial compliance directly support strategic business expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activities, revenue recognition, equity administration, and accounts payable/receivable processes
• Design, implement, and maintain internal control procedures to ensure compliance with SOX 404 requirements
• Prepare comprehensive financial reporting packages, variance analyses, and supporting schedules for executive leadership and external auditors
• Lead the integration of automated accounting systems, specifically optimization of ERP tools like NetSuite and recurring billing engines
• Cook up external audit engagements, managing the preparation of auditor PBC lists and resolving complex accounting treatment issues

What We Are Looking For

• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and corporate tech experience preferred
• Active CPA license required, along with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and SEC reporting frameworks
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, specifically NetSuite, and advanced Excel capabilities
• Demonstrated experience managing general ledger functions and leading a small team through complex audit cycles
• Bonus: Experience with SaaS revenue recognition under ASC 606 and implementation of automated close software like FloQast or BlackLine
