Accounting Manager

Position: Accounting Manager Consultant Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid) About NOW CFO NOW CFO is a national outsourced accounting and finance firm. We give businesses financial clarity and visibility through experienced consultants who partner with clients on the projects that matter most: cleanups, implementations, month-end close, financial reporting, and everything in between. Our Consultants are full-time W-2 employees. You’ll work with a variety of clients across industries, get exposure to different systems and business models, and never get stuck in the routine of a single seat. About the Role We’re expanding our Phoenix team and looking for an experienced Accounting Manager Consultant who thrives on rolling up their sleeves, jumping into new environments, and delivering real financial impact. You’ll partner with clients across the Phoenix metro to strengthen their accounting operations, from GAAP compliant reporting to full cycle accounting leadership. What You’ll Do Lead month-end and year-end close processes for client engagementsOversee and manage full cycle accounting (AP, AR, GL, reconciliations)Prepare accurate financial statements and management reportingSupervise and mentor client accounting teamsIdentify process improvements and implement best practicesStrengthen internal controls and ensure GAAP complianceServe as a trusted accounting partner to client leadership What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Accounting Manager level responsibilitiesStrong knowledge of GAAP and technical accountingFull cycle accounting experience, including month-end close ownershipStrong Excel skillsExcellent communication skills and a client service mindsetComfortable working independently and managing multiple prioritiesWillingness to commute to different client sites in the Phoenix metro area Preferred Multi-industry exposureERP implementation or cleanup experienceQuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP experienceCPA (track or active) is a plus but not required What NOW CFO Offers Full benefits: medical, dental, and vision401(k) with company matchPaid time offCareer growth opportunities across our national footprintExposure to a wide variety of industries, systems, and business models
