POSITION OVERVIEW:We are seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee financial accounting operations, reporting, and month-end close. This highly visible role works closely with senior finance leadership and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting expertise, particularly in revenue recognition, financial reporting, and internal controls. We seek someone analytical, detail-oriented, curious, and committed to continuous improvement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Financial Close: Manage monthly and annual close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.- Technical Accounting: Oversee ASC 606 revenue recognition and GAAP compliance.- Contract Accounting: Manage unbilled receivables, work-in-progress, and customer deposits.- Financial Analysis: Review results, explain variances, and communicate findings to leadership.- Internal Controls: Maintain accounting controls and compliance with company policies.- Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors.- Collaboration: Partner with finance, operations, and other departments.- Process Improvement: Streamline accounting and reporting processes. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.5+ years of progressive accounting experience.Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ASC 606 revenue recognition, financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls.Public accounting experience highly desirable.Strong Excel skills and ERP experience.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to partner effectively with finance, operations, and senior leadership.Strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
