Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

1. Lead monthly and year-end close activities related to cost accounting, ensuring inventory movements and related financial impacts are recorded accurately.
2. Reconcile inventory balances and evaluate reserve levels to support reliable valuation and reporting.
3. Manage accounting treatment for capitalized costs and purchase price variance activity in accordance with established accounting policies.
4. Execute cost accounting processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and maintain the integrity of related financial data.
5. Partner effectively within a co-manufacturing operating model to ensure accounting reflects outsourced production activity appropriately.
6. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules tied to the general ledger and close process.
7. Assist with audit-ready documentation and provide support for financial statement audit requests connected to inventory and cost accounts.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading or supporting month-end close in an accounting environment.
• Strong background in general ledger management, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliation.
• Hands-on expertise in cost accounting, including inventory analysis and reserve review.
• Experience reconciling inventory and addressing valuation-related accounting matters.
• Working knowledge of purchase price variance accounting and capitalization practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Ability to support financial statement audits with clear documentation and accurate reporting.
