Accounting Manager

Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to support an interim engagement with a winding down business in Dayton, Ohio. This resource will provide accounting stability as the company winds down operations over the next year or so.

About the role

Primary responsibilities include overseeing A/P and A/R processes, cash flow analysis/reporting, month-end close, and producing monthly financials. Other tasks may include supporting various wind-down and divestiture activities. This role is based 100% onsite in Dayton, OH. Projected duration is through 3/31/27, but could extend depending on business activity. The client prefers someone who can commit to supporting until all business operations are closed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee A/P and A/R processes
• Perform cash flow analysis and reporting
• Manage month-end close activities
• Produce monthly financial statements
• Support wind-down and divestiture activities

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience at the Accounting Manager level or above
• Working knowledge of bank account management, cash positioning, forecasting, and payment processing
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits and credits, the general ledger, and trial balances
• Prior experience supervising or guiding billing staff or similar finance support teams
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage responsibilities with minimal oversight
• Background in billing, collections, or related financial operations is preferred
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus, but not required
