About the Opportunity

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing accounting operations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP. This role supports the annual audit process, drives continuous improvements in accounting procedures, and collaborates across finance and operations to scale accounting functions within a high-growth technology environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure precise and timely reporting cycles
• Prepare and review complex balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring thorough supporting documentation and mathematical accuracy
• Review, validate, and officially approve all routine and non-routine journal entries originating from internal team members and external accounting partners
• Maintain strict general ledger integrity and ensure absolute compliance with changing U.S. GAAP and specialized hardware/software accounting standards
• Financial report generation, compiling and analyzing monthly financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows
• Serve as the primary operational point of contact to coordinate external audits, manage PBC (provided by client) request lists, and fulfill regulatory reporting mandates
• Collaborate on technical financial reviews to assist cross-functional teams with government grant applications, corporate supplier proposals, and strategic funding bids
• Evaluate, test, and implement AI-powered automated tools and modern financial software to minimize manual workflows and streamline transaction matching
• Identify structural deficiencies in standard financial workflows and systematically implement upgrades to internal controls and accounting procedures
• Support the scalable implementation, migration, and continuous optimization of enterprise-grade ERP and core accounting architectures
• Research, author, and maintain formalized corporate accounting policies, desk procedures, and standard internal control matrices
• Provide direct technical mentorship to internal accounting staff and manage the deliverables of outsourced bookkeeping or tax compliance teams
• Execute ad-hoc financial analysis, look-back reviews, and custom special projects as requested by the executive leadership team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a highly related quantitative business discipline
• Three (3) to seven (7) years of progressive, hands-on corporate accounting experience, with a heavy emphasis on executing full-cycle month-end closes and financial statement preparation
• Advanced, foundational knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including familiarity with capitalization frameworks for inventory, hardware R&D, or software-as-a-service (SaaS) business models
• Direct professional experience supporting or preparing files for comprehensive annual external audits
• High-level proficiency within Microsoft Excel, including comfort utilizing advanced functions (such as lookups, pivot tables, and index/match) to audit massive datasets
• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills tailored for explaining technical accounting concepts to non-financial stakeholders
• Excellent professional resilience with a proven ability to adapt fluidly to changing priorities within a rapid-growth environment
• Preferred Qualifications: Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or eligibility to sit for the CPA examinations, prior experience managing full-charge accounting operations or overseeing a complete, multi-layered chart of accounts, direct professional experience working within the technology, semiconductor, AI hardware, or VC-backed high-growth startup sectors, prior hands-on operational exposure to NetSuite or alternative Tier 1 enterprise resource planning (ERP) architectures

Pay Range and Compensation Package

Target baseline salary framework: $115,000.00 to $150,000.00 USD per year

Final base salary determination within this tier is structured dynamically and is highly dependent on the final candidate's core accounting tenure, CPA status, technical system proficiencies, and localized market benchmarks
