Accounting Manager
About the role
Lead the accounting team in processing invoices for internal and external clients
Oversee the preparation of financial statements and monthly management reports
Analyze financial results, identify trends, and explain budget variances to senior management
Coordinate and support audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies
Prepare, monitor, and manage the annual budget process
Collaborate with North American team members across Logistics, Sales, and Operations to ensure seamless financial operations
Implement and monitor new accounting procedures, driving process improvements
Oversee project accounting including job cost reporting, WIP analysis, and risk identification
Manage intercompany & technical accounting, including accruals and manufacturing costing
Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a high-performing team environment
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and US GAAP
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solution-oriented mindset
- Global perspective on financial mandates and business operations
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills
- CPA certification – considered a strong asset
- Good organizational skills
