Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager Consultant position at NOW CFO is designed for individuals with a proven track record in accounting operations and leadership. This role is part of a dynamic team that partners with clients to drive success and growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general ledger management
• Manage and support month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls
• Aid in budgeting and forecasting processes
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Support audits and coordinate with external auditors
• Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting staff

Requirements

• Experience across multiple industries (manufacturing, construction, non-profit, healthcare preferred)
• Strong background in accounting operations and leadership
• NetSuite (preferred) and QuickBooks Online proficiency
• Strong Excel skills
• Adaptable and flexible
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
