Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager oversees all accounting functions and activities at GOEX, a market leader in custom plastic production for various industries. This role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting with CPA certification preferred, five or more years of experience in public accounting or private industry, and supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate accounting staff
• Provide guidance to accounting staff for accuracy, efficiency, and professional development
• Oversee cost accountants for quoting, order pricing, and pricing file updates
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reports
• Perform month-end close duties, including files, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Prepare monthly financial statement files for review
• Aid in the annual budget process, analysis, preparation, and documentation
• Coordinate and prepare annual financial statement audit
• Affirm compliance with GAAP for new accounting standards
• Review and approve weekly check runs and monthly credit card files
• Assist with property tax returns
• Support Accounts Receivable functions as needed
• Understand and adhere to food safety guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA certificate preferred
• Five or more years of experience in public accounting or private industry
• Two or more years of supervisory experience
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Sound judgment and initiative
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with financial software and systems

Compensation is competitive and based on experience.

Schedule

Full Time, Monday-Friday: 8:00am–5:00pm with flexibility for 24/7 support.
