Your key responsibilities will include: 1. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities. 2. Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements. 3. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. 4. Coordinating and completing annual audits. 5. Providing recommendations for improving financial performance by identifying trends, determining system improvements, and implementing changes. 6. Meeting financial accounting objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. 7. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports. 8. Advising on long-term business and financial planning. 9. Reviewing financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports. 10. Participating in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager role will have: 1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role, preferably in the construction, project, or manufacturing industry. 3. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations. 4. High attention to detail and accuracy. 5. The ability to direct and supervise. 6. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software. 7. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis. 8. Well-versed in project management. 9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 10. Strong organizational and leadership skills.
