Accounting Manager

Job Details

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and other accounting best practices
• Excellent mathematical skills; ability to create and manage accounting and financial spreadsheets
• High attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to manage and direct a team

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Bank Reconciliations
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, ensuring compliance with applicable GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
• Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems, ensuring they are maintained and updated as necessary
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures, including the documentation of such procedures
• Cook up the annual budget, financial forecasts, and report variances
• Utilize QuickBooks for the management of financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data
• Collaborate with external auditors, providing all required information and addressing queries
• Develop and manage financial systems/models and carry out business modelling and risk assessments
• Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modelling for senior company leadership
• Continually assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
