Accounting Manager

About the role

This position is accountable for reviewing daily bank activity, completing the monthly bank reconciliation, and maintaining a working knowledge of the accounts payable and accounts receivable systems to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of these transactions. The incumbent takes initiative in completing necessary duties and prioritizing them to ensure that the month‑end closing process occurs by the 10th of the month.

Responsibilities

• Review daily bank activity
• Complete monthly bank reconciliation
• Maintain working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable systems
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions
• Take initiative in completing duties and prioritize them to meet month‑end closing by the 10th

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Business Management required
• Preferred 5‑10 years of accounting experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong technical skills including typing, scanning, e‑mail, internet, and software navigation
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to receive direction from multiple people
• Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to work a full shift, arrive on time, and work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation)
• Physical requirements: able to sit for long periods, stand for short periods, walk short distances; lift/carry/push/pull up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally; operate standard office equipment and keyboards requiring repetitive wrist/hand/finger movements; close visual acuity for preparing/analyzing data, transcribing, viewing computer terminal, extensive reading

Pay

Competitive Pay – $70,000 – $90,000 per year based on experience
