This role has a strong focus on revenue recognition and technical accounting, partnering with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data, support new products, and develop scalable and efficient accounting processes. Position Responsibilities Analyze financial data and reports from multiple systems to validate results, identify discrepancies, and ensure accurate accountingLead the revenue recognition process, including analysis of contracts, performance obligations, and complex, multi-element arrangements in accordance with ASC 606Prepare and review journal entries and financial statements as part of the monthly close processEvaluate accounting implications of new products and services and develop appropriate revenue recognition processesMaintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable accounting standardsManage external audits and support the preparation of audited financial statementsIdentify opportunities to improve, simplify, and automate accounting processes and reportingPartner with stakeholders to develop and implement scalable accounting solutions, systems, and processesStay current on accounting standards and advise management on relevant changes and actionsSupport the development of accounting team members and promote effective collaboration across the organizationMaintain confidentiality and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fieldFour years of experience in public or private accountingStrong understanding and experience with ASC 606, including multi-element contracts and performance obligationsStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognitionAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with financial/accounting systems and large data setsStrong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify errors, investigate discrepancies, and assess the reasonableness of financial resultsAbility to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and follow throughStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to communicate complex financial concepts to both finance and non-finance stakeholdersIntellectual curiosity and a desire to improve and simplify processesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to leverage technology, automation, and AI tools to improve accounting processes and analysis Preferred Skills CPA or working toward CPA certification preferredExperience in revenue recognition or technical accounting preferredExperience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Tableau, or similar systems preferred Background Requirements Requires a background check upon offer Some positions, particularly those that have responsibilities working with student-athletes and supporting IMG Academy on campus with events involving minors, may require a L2 background screen.
