About the Role

The Accounting Manager supports the Controller in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and the monthly close. This role ensures accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial information while leading and developing accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Support the Controller in overseeing accounting operations and financial reporting
• Manage monthly close in FloQast and preparation of financial statements including TB flux analysis
• Oversee general ledger activity and coordinate with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Ensure transactions and account reconciliations are recorded accurately and timely in accordance with GAAP
• Support audits and compliance with applicable regulatory and tax requirements
• Provide clear financial information and respond to requests from business leaders
• Supervise, coach, and develop assigned accounting team members
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• At least two years of experience at the Senior Accountant level or above
• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required background checks

Preferred Qualifications

• Aviation or aerospace industry experience
• CPA or equivalent certification

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and with senior leaders

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises assigned accounting team members.

Work Environment

• Monday through Friday in the Raleigh office; this is not a remote or hybrid position
