Accounting Manager

About The Role

The role leads the daily accounting operations, monthly close processes, and financial reporting workflows. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records in accordance with US GAAP, while scaling our financial infrastructure to support rapid business growth. The Accounting Manager collaborates closely with corporate FP&A, tax, and engineering teams to automate accounting processes and support audit readiness. This role is crucial for maintaining rigorous internal controls under SOX and delivering timely financial insights to executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of consolidated financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
• Oversee key balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and transactional accounting across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll systems
• Design, implement, and maintain rigorous internal control frameworks to support SOX compliance and mitigate financial risk
• Partner with external auditors to coordinate annual audits and quarterly reviews, preparing clear supporting schedules and technical accounting memoranda
• Evaluate and optimize general ledger software (e.g., NetSuite) and billing systems (e.g., Stripe, Zuora) to automate manual reconciliation steps and decrease time-to-close
• Draft financial disclosures, footnotes, and supporting documentation for SEC-aligned reporting requirements

What We Are Looking For

• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and corporate accounting in the technology industry
• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required
• Deep technical proficiency in US GAAP, SOX compliance, and consolidation of multi-entity financial statements
• Hands-on administrative experience with enterprise ERP systems, specifically NetSuite, and advanced Excel capabilities
• Strong communication and project management skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional financial initiatives and audit cycles
• Bonus: Experience with tech-specific accounting standards such as ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 340 (Capitalized Software), or previous experience in a high-growth, venture-backed startup
