Accounting Manager

About The Role

The Accounting Manager leads the monthly close process, ensures compliance with US GAAP, and maintains a robust internal control environment. This role is responsible for the integrity of financial statements and reports directly to the Director of Accounting. The position operates in a fast-paced environment requiring close collaboration with FP&A, tax, and external auditors to support corporate growth and regulatory compliance under SOX and SEC frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses for key balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Design, implement, and maintain internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) to ensure compliance with SOX requirements
• Prepare financial statement disclosures and supporting schedules for quarterly and annual SEC filings
• Cook up with external auditors to manage audit requests, resolve technical accounting queries, and streamline annual audits
• Optimize and automate accounting workflows using ERP systems like NetSuite, improving efficiency and reducing close cycle time

What We Are Looking For

• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and corporate accounting at a technology company
• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required
• In-depth technical knowledge of US GAAP, SOX Section 404 compliance, and SEC reporting guidelines
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, specifically NetSuite, and advanced Excel capabilities
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Bonus: Experience managing transition to public-ready accounting processes or ERP migration
