About The Role
The Accounting Manager owns the day-to-day corporate accounting operations, leading month-end close processes and ensuring rigorous compliance with US GAAP and SOX internal controls. This role bridges technical accounting policy with execution, managing general ledger activities, payroll reconciliation, and international entity consolidations. Operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, this role drives the modernization of financial systems and processes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with FP&A and external auditors to deliver accurate, audit-ready financial statements and support regulatory SEC reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely consolidation of financial results under US GAAP
- Design, implement, and maintain a robust SOX-compliant internal control environment across all core accounting workflows
- Lead the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, flux analyses, and financial statement packages for executive leadership
- Cook up annual external audits, serving as the primary point of contact for auditor inquiries and managing the preparation of PBC lists
- Optimize and automate accounting workflows within ERP systems like NetSuite, reducing manual processes and close cycle times
- Pivot with FP&A to provide budget-to-actual variance insights and support ad-hoc strategic financial initiatives
What We Are Looking For
- 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally combining Big 4 public accounting and corporate tech experience
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
- Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance framework, and financial reporting standards
- Expertise navigating mid-to-enterprise ERP systems (NetSuite, Workday, or Oracle) and advanced Excel functionality
- Proven experience managing multi-currency consolidations and intercompany transactions
- Bonus: Experience with public-readiness preparation, SEC reporting (Form 10-K/Q), and implementation of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
